Dr. Dighe has been in practice in Stockton for more than two decades. He received his medical degree from Baroda Medical College, Baroda India. Dr. Dighe then completed his residency in Internal Medicine followed by completion of his fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at St. Francis Hospital, Evanston, part of the Northwestern University Medical School.
He has been the past chairman of the Cancer Committee at St. Joseph’s Hospital as well as the Dept of Medicine and Family Practice. He is actively involved in the quality improvement initiatives in St. Joseph’s Hospital.
When he isn’t practicing medicine, Dr. Dighe enjoys music and the performing arts. He is an avid golfer and also enjoys his daily morning tennis games.
He lives in Stockton with his wife. His daughter is currently pursuing a career in law and his son is pursuing a career in computers.
Dr. Mehdi has been practicing Oncology in Stockton since 1987. Dr. Mehdi completed his Internal Medicine and Oncology training at the University of British Columbia in 1986. Dr. Mehdi is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada.
Dr. Mehdi is certified in Internal Medicine and Oncology by the American Medical Board. Dr. Mehdi is currently the Chairman of the Department of Oncology at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Stockton.
Dr. Mehdi enjoys playing tennis and paints in his spare time.
Dr. Puthillath is the former Chief of Staff and is currently an active member of the Community Board at Lodi Memorial Hospital where he also serves as the Chairman of the Bioethics committee. He is the Co-Chair on the Breast Cancer Center of Excellence at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Stockton.
Dr. Puthillath completed his medical training from Mysore University, India. He then completed his internship and residency training in Internal Medicine at McLaren Regional Medical Center, Michigan. During his residency, he was awarded the PGY-2 for outstanding resident of the year and the “Ambassador Award” for the best outgoing resident.
Dr. Puthillath completed his fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI), New York. RPCI is the oldest cancer center in the United States and is part of the NCCN designated Cancer Centers. Dr. Puthillath has numerous research publications in peer reviewed oncology journals and has actively presented in the American Society of Clinical Oncology meetings. His research interests have been in the treatment of colon cancers and breast cancer in young women.
He lives with his wife, who is a special education teacher and their two daughters.
Dr. Bangalore, M.D., PhD completed fellowships in Hematology/Oncology from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He completed his internship and residency at Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C. which is affiliated with George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Bangalore also has a PhD in biochemistry from University of Georgia. Dr. Bangalore completed his undergraduate degree in Bombay (Mumbai), India and received his MD at Seth G.S. Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, India.
Dr. Bangalore has board certifications in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine. He joined St. Joseph’s medical staff in 2001 and joined Stockton Hematology Oncology Medical Group in 2016.
Dr. John Kiraly was the first certified hematologist and Oncologist in San Joaquin County. He has been in practice, based in Lodi for over 40 years.
He received his degree in medicine from the University of California San Francisco. He obtained his post graduate training at the University of Virginia in Internal Medicine and Hematology, in which he served as the Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. He certified in the newly created specialty of medical Oncology in 1978, as one of the founders, qualifying through medical practice experience. He has served as Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at University of California Davis and on the board of directors for the two local blood banks.
Dr. Kiraly is an avid skier and golfer, he also enjoys playing the piano along with reading history and mystery novels. He and his wife, Rena, an oncology nurse, retired their own practice before joining Stockton Hematology Oncology. He is deeply committed to his patient’s and upholding a standard of excellence in medicine.
Dr. Sunny Philip was born and raised in a small rural town in Texas. He graduated magna cum laude with honors, with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from the University of Texas Pan American. He received his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine.
Dr. Philip then went on to complete his Internal Medicine residency at Stony Brook University School of Medicine, where he has been board certified in Internal Medicine since 2014.
He completed his fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Stony Brook University School of Medicine where he also served as chief administrative fellow. He received his board certification in Hematology as well as Oncology.
Dr. Philip joined Stockton Hematology Oncology Medical Group in October 2017. He currently works as a general oncologist treating a variety of cancers and blood disorders. He participates in multiple tumor boards in San Joaquin County and works closely with several University Centers to help provide comprehensive and cutting edge care for his patients.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, watching movies, and reading fiction novels.
He is committed in bringing quality and emphatic care to the people of San Joaquin County.
Dr. Kodali was born and raised in Southern India and completed medical school at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal University, on the southwestern coast of India where he graduated top of his class.
Dr. Kodali completed his Master’s of Public Health following medical school graduation and entered residency training in combined Internal Medicine and Psychiatry. This is a 5 year residency that creates board eligibility in both Internal Medicine and Psychiatry at the Charleston Area Medical Center/ West Virginia University- Charleston division in Charleston, WV. He was the Chief Resident in both Internal Medicine and Psychiatry residency programs. Subsequently, he went on to do his Hematology Oncology fellowship at the West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, WV, where he was also the Chief Fellow. Dr. Kodali was given various academic achievement awards, authored various research papers and presented abstracts at regional and national conferences during his training.
After training, he worked in the small town of Beckley WV as a community Oncologist, serving rural WV for the last 3 years before coming to Stockton Hematology Oncology Medical Group.
Dr. Kodali is quadruple board certified in Internal Medicine, Adult Psychiatry, Hematology, and Medical Oncology.
In his spare time, he loves traveling with friends and family, hiking, and binge-watching movies.
